The Kansas City Chiefs have continued their winning streak with a 31-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The Chiefs were led by their star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who had a stellar performance in the game. Mahomes threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for a touchdown. His performance was key in helping the Chiefs secure the win.
The Chiefs got off to a strong start, scoring on their first drive of the game. Mahomes connected with tight end Travis Kelce for a 43-yard touchdown pass to give the Chiefs an early 7-0 lead. The Raiders responded with a field goal to make it 7-3, but the Chiefs would not be denied. Mahomes found wide receiver Tyreek Hill for a 34-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 14-3.
The Raiders managed to cut the lead to 14-10 at halftime, but the Chiefs came out firing in the second half. Mahomes connected with Hill again for a 51-yard touchdown pass to put the Chiefs up 21-10. The Raiders responded with a touchdown of their own, but the Chiefs defense held strong and kept them from scoring again.
Mahomes sealed the victory with a one-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter. The Chiefs defense then held the Raiders on their final drive of the game to secure the win.
The win was the Chiefs’ seventh in a row and it keeps them firmly in control of the AFC West division. Mahomes’ performance was key in helping the Chiefs secure the win and he continues to prove why he is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. The Chiefs will look to continue their winning streak next week when they face off against the Denver Broncos.
