Ryan was brought in to provide veteran leadership and stability to the Colts’ offense, but he struggled to find his footing in Indianapolis. He was hampered by injuries and inconsistent play, and was eventually replaced by Philip Rivers.
Despite the struggles, Ryan looks back on his time with the Colts fondly. He believes that he learned a lot from the experience and is grateful for the opportunity to have played for such a storied franchise.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity that I had in Indianapolis,” Ryan said. “It was a great experience and I learned a lot about myself as a player and as a person. I’m grateful for the relationships I made with my teammates and coaches.”
Ryan also believes that his time with the Colts helped him become a better quarterback. He credits the team’s coaching staff for helping him refine his skills and develop as a leader.
“I think I grew a lot as a quarterback in Indianapolis,” Ryan said. “The coaching staff there did an excellent job of helping me refine my skills and become a better leader. I’m thankful for all that they did for me.”
Despite his difficult stint with the Colts, Ryan is looking ahead to the future. He is currently a free agent and is hopeful that he will find a new team soon.
“I’m excited for what the future holds,” Ryan said. “I’m confident that I can still be an effective quarterback in this league, and I’m looking forward to finding a new home.”
